Call me skeptical. The standards still haven't been finalized. It took them a disturbingly long time to ramp up Blu-ray production, and they still aren't all that cheap. Now with streaming cutting into disc profits, I have a hard time imagining either the studios or the public really have the stomach for yet another new media to have to buy.
Just my 2 cents.

Follow Ups:
This will have much higher quality than any streaming. Bt.2020 Has more than twice the color bits And the barest minimum Compression. Maybe too good for most people's tastes.
It should have more than twice the colors. My understanding is that the color space will be significantly larger, once the standards are set.
It will be too good for what they'll use it for. 4k transformers anyone?
I'll wait and see how it goes. Right now, my blu-ray purchases has slowed to a crawl.
