im currently considering buying the top end JVC dvd player. i had my decision down to it and the NAD. how much better is progressive scan? and is a 10-bit/54mhz video DA converter a good component? is there anything else i should consider before purchasing a DVD player. most of all, am i a fool for going with jvc over nad?
any response is helpful, jeff

If you have a TV with progressive scan, then that is a feature you should consider. Otherwise it is a waste of money. The advantage of the NAD is that it sounds better than the JVC. There is currently little difference between various DVD players in terms of picture quality. Only a couple of companies supply the mechanisms for everyone else.
Uh...the JVC is a DVD-Audio player (as well as DVD-Video). Is the NAD?
