I went into RatShack after work on Friday and couldn't find it. The salesperson wasn't much help either...BTW, do you happen to know if their TV antenna is any good. It's $119
and looks like a flat bar...Jay
I suggest the staff at your local RatShack visit Pearle vision.Page 155, top left, 15-1846 - my FM antenna - Great performer.
Page 154, center of page, 15-1845 - TV "big brother" to my FM antenna.
...if it's as good as their FM cerrsion it could be great, worth a try possibly.Page 154, bottom left, 15-1828 - TV antenna that worked for me.
Remember, you're farther from the city than I am. Mileage may vary.
If you do anything, please let US know what happens.

I picked it up from a RatShack last night and tried it out, unfortunately,
it didn't seem to work well for me.. Actually, it seems much worse than the standard dipole that it came with. It had no problems with the NYC stations but neither did the dipole, but the one station that I really like to get (WDHA in Dover, NJ) came in worse than the dipole. I tried many different
spots and pointing it towards Dover, but no luck. lots of static. Interestingly it killed the signal strength meter reading as it would always read a full 5 bars out of 5 but you could hear lots of static. Unfortunately, WDHA is behind a slightly taller hill between my home and the station. I can get the station quite good in my car when it's not behind the hill. The dipole antenna is not bad for WDHA, it used to cut out alot depending on where I was in the room and sometimes would fluctuate, but I think i found a good spot for the dipole.Jay
Hey Thanks, I have a 10% off coupon that expires there 5/28 so I'll have
to check it out. Unfortunately, I was there after work and I was in a hurry so I didn't get a chance to check out their catalog which I don't have.
Fortunately, my father also got a 10% off coupon and wasn't using his so
I've been getting good discounts there....I heard alot of crappy reviews of their $119 TV antenna stick that they
sell from Usenet...Jay
sorry I didn't respond earlier. I post at work and the RS cat is home and I forget about this whan I get home. Again, I forgot last nite but I THINK it's something like the standatd antenna prefix and 1846 (15-1846?)It's in the standard catalog. Look in the section dealing with TV antenna's and there's a picture there. Do it yourself.
Sometimes some of the staff there are, lets say "not motivated?" and you can do better by looking yourself. It's there... and the FM version is in the FM antenna setion, also.
(I can say that... I do some part time work there occasionally, sorta "pro bono" 'cause I like that crap and helping people... at least those that deserve it)
