I was wondering if there are any other companies, other than MSB, that can upgrade a pre-amplifier with a DD 5.1 input to be used with an external DD processor. My system consists of a Harmon Kardon PT-2500(pre-amplifier), an HK ADP-303(DD processor), and HK PA-5800(amplifier). I am satisfied with the audio quality of my system (for now), but I would like to increase the functionality so that I can use the pre-amplifier to control switching to/from DD processing, and raising/lowering the volume while viewing DVD's using my remote.Thanks in advance for your help.

For about 400.00 MSB will and a 5.1 input to a dolby pro-logic pre-amp. Call them and ask if they can do your unit. I am sure that they can. You will then need a dvd player with 5.1 outputs.
Check out the audio refinement pre 5. It has a 5.1 pass through so it will not do anything to your music side. It runs about $850 and is a child company of YBA. Sounds great.
