I'd like to get some suggestions from people who have purchased DD or DTS music/concert disks, preferrably with video, that you'd recommend buying. So far, I only have six:James Taylor, Beacon Theater - I'm a long time JT fan
U-2 Rattle & Hum - so far, this is my favorite
Madonna - the Immaculate Collection (bought to play at a party)
Michael Jackson - Video Greatest Hits (bought for the party)
Ted Hawkins - Amazing Grace
Livingston Tayor - Ink (JT's brother? Sounds like him)Please, no flames re these. But, I really would appreciate any suggestions as to other music/video disks to check out. Thanks!!
Gotta check out the King Crimson DTS dvd. It's got really good sound. The Menu is confusing but if you read the little boocklet it will tell you how to navigate it.
Also the Celine Dion concert has great sound too. Just remember to manually switch it to DD 5.1 when you play it.
The Eagles DTS is also pretty awsome sounding too.
I have several others that sound great too (Fleetwood Mac, The Band, Bee Gees, Rolling Stones) All these I would recommend.
Only two that I have seen has dissapointed. Rick wakeman's concert video has poor stereo sound and picture and Anderson,Bruford,Wakeman,Howe is pretty bad too, although it's a very good concert with lots of great music.
Music/video DVDs:Fleetwood Mac - The Dance
Eagles - Hell Freezes Over (DTS!)
Eric Clapton - Unplugged
I do own this one, but saw it an Audio Store. The John Fogarty tour album.
Well, Delos has 3 DVDs with classical music but no real video. DVD Spectacular, DVD Space Spectacular, and DVD Music Breakthrough.
Mannheim Steamroller has one and Kitaro is just releasing their World Tour, Kojiki.
