I have cheap, stock, generic cables from my satellite dish box to my TV. Would I notice a difference if I upgraded to a better cable? If so, what differences might I notice? I have the option of S-type or RCAs.I'd like to start out cheaply, just to try. Any suggestions (including DIY) are very much appreciated, as is your tolerance for my ignorance.
Follow Ups:
I use the Monster M1000 silver S Video cable. A great improvement over any composite cable I tried. I have not tried any other S Video cables.
check the cable asylumthere are heaps of good combos that are excellent and cheap DIY recipes . S-video are a little more complicated to solder.
I have a '92 Panasonic 27" flat screen. For what it is, the picture is still very nice.
Usually S-Video cables produce a better picture than composite (rca).
This is pretty good quality Belden cable and a decent price to boot . . .
You may notice a difference using s-video over composite. Among different brands of cable, it's not likely you'll see any difference unless one of them is defective.
