Ive had the Sony 7700 since January and have used it as a DVD & CD player. I cant compare it to other DVDs but it does what I need it to do. The component out was one of the advantages I liked. I have the Sony Vega 32" & they make a Great combo. I plan on auditioning a Cal CD player to see if there is a big differance. I'll post a review....happy viewing!
