My favorite Saturday morning hangover star, Paul Ruebens, has passed at seventy years old of cancer. In the early 80s, I had several work buddies that struggled to see Pee Wee early in the morn after a hard night of happy hour. Ruebens pulled off the edgiest "kids program" ever made. We all loved it. May you find the basement of the Alamo, Pee Wee.

I personally found Miss Yvonne oddly alluring. Also loved his Big Adventure movie.

IIRC, he had a pretty strange role in a Cheech and Chong flick as well

from the Cheech and Chong movie where he runs around saying, "I'm SORREEE, I'm SORREEE."

Oddly, David Hasselhoff and he were roommates at school! I wonder if the Hass ever managed to hook him up?

Guilty pleasure for me as well. It was not just for kids. Lots of adult humor as well.
RIP Pee Wee
