Watched it on tv today on This TV.

Still impressive after all these years. I saw it at the theaters when it opened and was in awe. Well made flick. One of the best fantasy films. I love that stop frame animation. CGI sucks in comparison (though cgi can do more effects).Excellent camera work and lighting.
This film will never die.

superb film !
best of the sinbad series
those fantastic harryhausen visuals + the herrmann score are unbeatable.
tim burton paid homage in his recent miss peregrine home for peculiar children.

Film in the original post - awesome!

Jason & the Argonauts.

Toss in Gorgo.

Plenty of examples. All fun, all hold up today.

I saw it as a little boy, and it left the lasting impression.

...great special effects by Ray Harryhausen.

He also did Jason and the Argonauts which is worth checking out.
