Saw it again in a small theatre with a large screen and JBL system. Could not like it at all. Stunned looking heroine, confused hero, insipid music, amateurish dancing, attempted melodrama, loveless ending. A top contender for Best movie Oscar as usual.

I thought that it was crap. Can't imagine sitting through it again.

The reports on it are confusing. Nobody likes it, but it's big on awards. nt, posted on February 19, 2017 at 10:11:10

Hollywood and everyone agress and it should be picture of the year. It's going to be tought, though, with no minority lead this year.

So a bunch of critics like it. I liked it and so did the people I saw it with for whatever that's worth. I've seen 5 of the 9 best picture nominees and I'd put it up with Moonlight as easily outclassing the others I've seen. If I were voting it would be Moonlight for sheer cinematic excellence, but it would be close.

I agree about Moonlight (if there was a like button I would have pushed it) nt, posted on February 21, 2017 at 20:52:02
