"Fright Night" was a great vampire spoof; Roddy McDowell was excellent in
his role of vampire-slayer. "Fright Night 2" was OK.
I liked "Reanimator"; also "Dunwich Horror" and "From Beyond"; all based
on the Lovecraft stories.
There is a flick, "Last House On The Left", directed by Wes Craven, supposedly based on true events, I want to eventually see. Roger Ebert
and Leonard Maltin gave diametrically opposed reviews of this film, which
is reputed to be not for the squeamish. Speaking of Craven, I have liked
all the films I've seen of his: "The Nightmare On Elm St Series", "The
People Under The Stairs", "Serpent And The Rainbow", "Shocker", etc.
