Finally got to see "Mee Pok Man"

I don't know about you, but I usually dislike the films that portray the loneliness and despair where and when there is little reason for it.

Mee Pok Man takes that to new hight. Some viewer's comments on imdb are devastating, and I would not quite agree with that, as there is certain presence to the acting and directing that does have some redeaming values, but it is hard to disagree with the overall "Avoid this one!" conclusion.

To be fair - someone on Amazon gave it five stars - so one never knows. If such polar spread intrigues you - go ahead.

I don't regret having watched it, but I really wish the director, who has promise, I think, would channel his energy into something more uplifting. Not just for spirit, but simply because where is whole new world there.
