If anyone understood "Mulholland Drive" could you PLEASE explain it to me??

One of the weirdest movies I have seen. If it was not for the brief lesbian scenes I would have been completely disappointed in wasting over two hours of my life. Perhaps I just don't "get" David Lynch - I never understood the point of "Twin Peaks" either.
BTW, who was the girl who sang in Spanish at the club?? Fabulous voice even though I only understood about 10% of what she was singing (sorry Ms. Zale - apparently my 4yrs of HS Spanish were wasted). I was still moved by the performance.
