i cannot believe only negative posts so far on this film.
i've seen about 6 or 7 recent dvd rentals, and this is the one i would consider buying. i admit i'm a fan of adolescent humor.
i think the movie is extremely well done in it's cool presentation. the whole film has a certain class about it. but the two scenes, the pastry scene and the colon blow scene are the two funniest scenes i have seen in many years. i replayed them a few times at least, cause i had to show them to others, and each successive time i laughed the hardest i've ever laughed as the first time watching it.
each of these scenes are done to perfection. in the pasty scene there is no shortage of fluid. the fluid seems almost endless.
in the colon scene, the exam would have been funny enough, but it's definitely beaten out in what follows with the garbage can scene. the lead actor is sensational in both pieces.
i thought maybe the british were the best at gut-wrenching humor, (perhaps the last time i laughed that hard was from a scene in "thye meaning of life". but if this is an american film, then the americans have truly scored something of international value. i don't think humor can get better than this.
watching this film reallyu had a positive effect on my life this week. i approached everything with more levity than i usually do.
