La Ronde - charming...

Just one look at the list of talent in that movie makes your mouth water: Anton Walbrook, Simone Signoret, Serge Reggiani, Simone Simon,
Danielle Darrieux, Fernand Gravey, Odette Joyeux, Jean-Louis Barrault, Isa Miranda, Gérard Philipe..... some I didn't know before, but all playing wonderfully.

It starts almost as a disappointment - the stories are too short, small and insignificant, with not enough meat, but it quickly gains the momentum and you get absorbed.

It's got tons of wit and great observations, all done in an exceedingly tasteful and charming manner, so never mind the anti-climatic ending - it all makes sense.

VERY French, and dare I say - VERY Patrick!

Yeah... but which of those men is the REAL Patrick? All of them?

Anyway, if tired of the Hollywood crap, take a short refuge in this elegant piece.
