'Pilgrimage': More 13th Century Hijinks

Way over in Ireland, a small group of monks live an off the grid existence in order to protect a very holy relic. The last Crusade has wrapped up and now the Pope wants that relic brought to Rome. So now comes three knights to fetch it and bring it to Italy.

There was great suspicion when the three arrived and told them of their plans for the Church. (They didn't get the email.) So, a small band of monks decided to travel and protect the relic. They take their mute Crusades veteran with them, John Bernthal (the Punisher). Along the way, they suffer attacks and betrayals by French knights wanting possession of a very valuable object.

It's an interesting story featuring young Tom Holland as a devout initiate who does his best to serve and protect. We also see Bernthal morph into his old Crusader self and punish left and right.

wanks: 1.5 out of 5 for wanting Bernthal to say anything and keeping the characters straight
