Ed Norton wrote the adaptation, directed, and starred in this fresh story about a young detective with Tourette's who tries to find the murderers of his boss and mentor, Frank Minna (Willis). The story is loaded with memorable characters and actors set in '50s NYC. Part of the story is revolves around a "Trumpian" character who is a NYC "boss" played with sweet irony by Alec Baldwin.

Lionel Essrog (Norton) soon becomes ensnared in the deepening story of Minna's involvement which leads to Baldwin, his brother (DaFoe), and GuGu Mbathe-Raw.

Worth it. It's not a remake!
