BTW, I didn't like Eraser Head much either. I'm torn on Lynch films. Twin Peaks are my favs but I really didn't like Blue Velvet at all. Lynch really knows how to run the fingernails across the chalkboard. His films are mostly uncomfortable to watch.
When it comes down to it though, even if the technical aspects of a film are great, if the viewer doesn't enjoy it than that's the way it is.
