Today we were talking about the actors and actresses who appeared or starred in the most really great films. And second question-- what were the films?For me, it was Henry Fonda, Gregory Peck, Burt Lancaster and Jack Lemmon. Not sure if I can enumerate the films without some kind of reference though to jog the old brain. Tom Hanks has been in quite a few great films too. I also like Bogart, Peter Sellers and Alec Guiness--not sure they had the numbers though. I like Redford and Newman too, but not sure if they were in the really topnotch films, although some were very fine.
In actresses, off the top, I'd go with Audrey Hepburn. I like Deborah Kerr here too and Meryl Streep may be up there too.
What got us on to this was considering Michael Caine's oeuvre. A great actor, he has been in more than his share of dogs.
