Ones with the most skewed perspective...

After many years, watched "Z" recently.

Hate to admit it, but it almost turned me into a communist. I know, "almost" doesn't count, however, here is the question.

There is no doubt that the cinematographer's perspective in an extremely powerful tool. Often we see the director take on some cause and, thank to his skills, turn it into a strong statement, agitating people, upsetting some, angering others.. In some cases the cause is just, in others... you get the picture.

"Z" certainly falls into that "distorted perspective" category. It undoubtedly took Yves Montand much longer than it should have to understand the fallacies of communist teachings, but eventually he moved away from that evil doctrine. I don't know if he ever regretted making that movie, and perhaps today this is not too important.

However, the question: what other movies do you think represent some sort of extremely distorted viewpoint coupled with a strong and talented presentation? Which ones came close to convincing you of something that you would "normally" consider not even remotely palatable?

Or perhaps this subject is too politically sensitive and the response will be nill...

Anyone recalls ANY movie where the business owner was portrayed as a good guy, opposing the greedy and ruthless union bosses, for instance?

BTW, I don't count the "cute thief" commedies in this category (Who can forget "How to Steal a Million" - not in million years! Boy, what a wonderful classic!). There have definitely been many of these. So please, something a bit more *heavy*...
