This last movie by Jean Vigo is a definite must for anyone interested in fine movies. His earlier work "Zero for Conduct" may perhaps be too hard to watch due to the film poor quality and it being still quite undeveloped, but just four short years later he makes this gem. Simply mesmerizing.
While the whole movie is stunning in its dreamlike atmosphere (a term perhaps too overused), it is most likely the Michel Simon's performance that you will never forget.
