As far as Frequency is concerned, have you seen it? I think I'm in the minority here on this MB as I actually go to movies in the theater. Now that you mention it, there were some similarities to contact. The acting in Frequency was alot better though and the writing was more thoughful.
There is another movie coming up about the decoders. It's called Enigma and will be starring J. Phoenix and Kate Winslet. Should be out before the end of the year.
