A perfect match for one of your quiet nights when you are not in the mood for Bergman (or Star Wars, for that matter).

Very light-hearted and entertaining. You will get to see many movie personalities and that alone should be enough. How often do you see Sven Nykvist on screen? Wim Wenders and his two best angels (remember those?) overlooking - (what else?) - Berlin. Some of those 52 seconds clips are quite interesting.

OK, some clarification. They got together thirty or so great directors and asked them to produce each a 52 second long segments using the original 1895 movie camera and film. Plus they ask them some silly questions and get some silly answers - but that is OK too, because you will get to see them struggling to come up with some "profound" lines.

The alligator clip is trully nice, and some others are really fie mini-movies. Yep, some are just so-so, but the overal hour and a half is fun and the music is well selected and haunting.

Perhaps the best short subject (and the most disturbing one to boot - hard to be THIS disturning in just 52 seconds, but he manages it just fine...) is by Konchalovski. I don't like him very much, but in these short seconds he shows what he is capable of. He should do it more often.

Another VERY memorable one - from Brussels, two Down syndrom lovers - did I say TRULLY unforgettable?

You also get the see Liv Ullman directing ad the longest French kiss ever, by - you would have to guess this one - the master of the French kiss himself, but of course, the "A Man and a Woman" creator.

Did I say rent it?

OK, rent it, it's fun!

Anyway, wh
