Saw Donnie Brasco last night. Almost turned it off after 2 minutes, since it was an ugly ugly film. Lots of swearing (I am old fashioned, I guess) and criminal people in low life situations. Plus it had Al Pacino, which is a minus in my book, usually. But Johhny Depp was the kid's draw, and Anne Heche as eye candy was mine.
Glad I didn't turn it off.
Became quite engaging, Anne Heche was wonderful in a role much better played than the eye candy "the lead is not a homo" part that the eye candies of the world usually do.
Johhny Depp as usual disappeared into his character. How many people are in this boy's head?
Al Pacino -- a good actor, for sure, I just don't like the type of movies he chooses to be in -- was excellent, truly.
The next day I'm still thinking about it, which is a sign that the movie left an impression. Some movies I can't remember by the time I get home from the theatre.
Well worth the rental.
