A few things bothered me about the movie. I wondered why the rescuers weren't using oxygen tanks. Of course the face masks would stifle the dialog a bit, wouldn't they? And there's the little detail that nitroglycerin, properly bottled (and one would assume that an army knows how to handle the stuff), is no more dangerous than water. With all the other things that can go fatally wrong on an 8000 meter high mountain, I thought the "deadly nitro" plot device was rather contrived.
