Great weekend - two strong recommendations

"With a Friend Like Harry" is usually compared to Hitchcock, and I find this unfortunate. To me it is more similar to Crimes and Misdemeanors. Plus I am not Hitchcock fan. But if you loved The Vanishing you will enjoy Harry. A must for any move lover. Loved that Plum character, was expecting her to suddenly develop into the main carrier of evil... oh well...

And switching gears to commedy - "The Closet" is IT. You will laugh and you will not feel stupid - how's THAT for a change?

And what else would you expect from Francis Veber - the creator of La Cage aux folles?. And here he is at his best - and supported marvelously by long string of mouth-watering French actor names: Daniel Auteuil, Gérard Depardieu, Thierry Lhermitte, Michèle Laroque, Michel Aumont amd Jean Rochefort... what more might you want?

The actors are simply having fun, tons of it, and you will too. Gerard is simply incredible, and Daniel showing his commedy side with great flare.

A man is about to be canned, so his friend speads the rumor that he is gay - and in a twisted grimace of political corectness he is saved. And the fact he works at a condom factory doesn't hurt either...

In short - run for it if it is shown in your town.
