Shatner & Newman? It's an outrage:)

I caught the coolest flick the other night on one of my satellite stations. It's called "The Outrage" and it's a B&W oddity from 1964. The cast was one strange bunch of bedfellows: William Shatner, Paul Newman, Lawrence Harvey, Claire Bloom, E.G. Robinson and a few others that I recognized but couldn't put a name to. It was shown in wide screen and was just an amazing film. A little bit serious to a little bit comedic, it was worth the time spent.

I'd like to see it again. I mean how often can you see Paul Newman play a blue-eyed Mexican bandito? And I think it was the only time I've ever seen Bill Shatner NOT over-acting...heh heh heh

I caught about a half hour of another flick from 1947 last night that I want to try and see the full length of. I think it was titled "A Cabin in the Sky" and appeared to feature an all black cast including a very, very sexy Lena Horn. What a babe (and yes, I've got some of her stuff on CD; can't seem to find any good vinyl, but I'm always looking:)

Anyway, if your're looking for an interesting bit of not too ancient history and a fun watch, check out "The Outrage" if it shows up on one of your movie channels (I suppose it might be rentable, but I'd hate to recommend something you might not like and have to pay for too:)))
