It's as if you're dying to garner everyone's opinion on it here while still pretending you're far too sophisticated to enjoy it yourself. Are you afraid the folks here who pretend to eschew any movie that isn't a long-forgotten subtitled black and white slice-of-life psychological drama from Eastern Europe will think less of you? There are plenty of older folks who enjoy the "childish" LOTR movies, even if they've never read Tolkien as a kid. Why not just admit you're a Ringnut, and that you find Frodo to be a little too uncomfortably adorable?
