Ever since I saw this in the theater I have admired it for its story, realization, production values, sound, and cinematography. The story ends on a postive note, literally at a crossroads. Hanks is terrific throughout. It was shot six months apart, to give him time to lose all that weight.The DVD has a wonderful DIS sound track and is anamorphic.
