The film definitely ended with many loose ends for a sequel.
I mean, for $12.99 DVD I enjoyed it enough. I just lament how the film did not reach anywhere its potential. A thousand-year war between vampires and werewolves and that was all there is to say about it?!
In the sequel, Kate better have some new arsenals other than the 2-pistols in two hands. Some more extensive "Matrix"-style action sequences need to be incorporated, not to mention a bit more 3-D character development for everyone involved. Then, it could be a great movie, not merely "entertaining."
