Thoughts about Charles Laughton.

Hi guys n' gals,

A good while back I opined that I thought that Laughton's
greatest role was as Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame,
another inmate chimed in and said he thought it was as Captain
Bligh in Mutiny on the Bounty. Considering his claim, I had great
difficulty in deciding which was greater, so I gave up and divided
his greatest role in two sub-categories: sympathetic and unsympathetic, Quasimodo in former, Bligh in latter. Wherein, all
is well! I admit as to not viewing many of his films (45), IYO, am I
operating on insufficient data, am I on or near the mark?
Some might lay claims on his performances in Island of Lost Souls, Captain
Kidd, Rembrant, Spartacus, Old Dark House,Private Life of Henry VIII and perhaps others.
What's your take? - AH.
