The extra 15 minutes to the film were mostly scene extensions with extra lines of dialogue. I felt the added extensions really helped the characters become less caricature and more human. Stallone's character is a little more serious and less goofy. Liotta's character is more of a high strung coke head. Keitel's character is less of the one dimensional "greedy local boss" and more of a paternal community figure. DeNiro, well, he's still DeNiro.
I think anyone who likes westerns or crime films ought to take another look at Cop Land. Fans of the Sopranos will recognize quite a few cameos.
