Re: Anyone here who read the book first, and then saw The House of Sand and Fog?

While reading the book, I am naturally trying to imagine how one would make it into a movie... and I see hard road for the screenwriter and director... the way it is written is all internal emotions of the two characters, not the events, but the inner worlds.

I suspect I will have to twist my wife's arm a bit and rent it. We both love Ben, so that should be possible. But it wasn't till the very end of the book that she developed that opinion.

The book is quite good, BTW, so I do recommend it, either with or without the film.
