To Catch a Thief

I picked up Hitchcock's "To Catch a Thief" with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. According to the interviews, Grace Kelly was Hitchcock's favorite actress, and wanted to cast her in "Marnie", but her marriage prevented her accepting to Role. Cary Grant considered himself mostly retired from films, but came back to star in the film. As I am watching the film, I am amazed at how utterly beautiful, graceful, and mesmorizing Grace Kelly is. No wonder Hitchcock loved her, and Cary Grant did the film.

The picture is very good, the audio is typical mid 50's. If you like style, great scenery, Hitchcock/Kelly/Grant, recommended.

As an aside, there was an interview with Hitchcock's granddaughter. She took a film class, and the assignment was to write a paper on one of Hitchcock's films (I forget which one) expounding on the hidden subtext in the film. Of course, she went to Hitchcock, who wrote the paper, and got a C. When she told him about the C, he said it was the best that he could do.
