We all know the story of Alfie. Charming young man pin-balling his way from one bed-ridden relationship to another finally arriving at his come downance.
The production was excellent. Clever script, great cinematography and direction, smash original sound track, and superb casting.
What makes this so great is Jude Law's Alfie. Law proves his cajones with his unaffected on-going narration directly to the camera. He carries it off beautifully. IMO, he should get a nomination.
This updated, yet timeless, story is worth a trip to the walkie.
