I just watched Radio Days; I think Woody is pretty good at this sort of nostalgic film. The Purple Rose of Cairo, Broadway Danny Rose + Bullets over Broadway I'd give a thumbs up to. More recently; Sweet and Lowdown. Woody is a fan of early jazz and a clarinet player himself, so the soundtracks tend to set the mood quite well
Thumbs down to Hannah and her Sisters, Shadows and Fog and Interiors
which seem all a bit strained and humorlessGrins
