This comedy was recommended by the person who works at my video store.
There is some comic relief in this film. It starts out pretty slow until "Veronica Corningstone" arrives on the scene. She looks rather beautiful and the jokes begin to flow as the guys try to make it with her.
You sit there and wonder what is going to happen next? Where's the next joke going to come from? The humor comes from a little off the wall situations.
Unlike, "Napolean Dynamite", a comedy I saw the day before, this one has some real zingers in it. It goes for the gut and succeeds on occasion. More adult type comedy situations makes it more difficult as a family movie.
I think "Napolean Dynamite" is a more interesting film overall, with more metaphorical potential, but "Anchorman" is a good comedy Hollywood style.
