I know this film came out way back in the early 70's, but I just saw it for the first time. I'm impressed.
That ending! ....A drum-roll as the camera pans across a mirrored-wall relecting the audience image....then a cymbal crash as the camera stops on the relected image of two arm-bands with the Swastika.
....then complete silence as the credits roll.
That simple ending scene...about 2-mins. or so...conveys as sense of impending doom & dread more so than some movies can at two hours or more. I don't know if that ending was Bob Fosse's idea..but whoever's it was is a film-making genius.
