"Sin noticias de Dios" - a delightful innocent fluff

It was on the SUndance channel last night, and it is something you will most likely not regret spending a couple of hours watching.
Don't expect any great depth, but... anyway, two angels, one from the heaven, played by Victoria Abril (do you need an introduction? I didn't think so...), and the hell angel played by (former?) Babe Cruise - Penelope Cruz. Add to this Hell Operating Manager played by Gael GarcÃa Bernal (also no introduction necessary...), and the delectable (as always) Fanny Ardant, and you have basic stong cast, giving the "Don't Tempt Me" great shot at fun movie.
A very uneven film that still manages to shine through as a good entertainment.
I am not a fan of Cruz, but I have to say she playes wonderfully well here... except for a few close-up shots - she looks AWFUL! - in those.
Abril... well, she has aged. So she is approaching the point where she will start playing mothers of sex pots... not sex pots. But such is life, and no one had been able to escape this simple law.
She is still attractive - not pretty, but attractive nonetheless - but she should be baring less of her back.
Anyway, there are enough good moments in this one to make it worth at least the rental fee... possibly more. I didn't feel my time was wasted.
