OK, I hired this movie when I grabbed a whole stack of $1 a week movies the other day. It's about a mission to Mars. The only reason I got it was because it stars Vinnie Gallo, of Sound Practices fame (anyone who lusts after Western Electric amps is a friend of mine).
Warning - this movie is unspeakably bad. I mean it's REALLY, REALLY bad. I fell asleep halfway through and had to go back and find the spot where I feel asleep.
The movie is about 5 astronauts (the captain is a girlie who looks about 17) who crash-land on Mars (yeah, original I know). They only have enough oxygen and food for two people while the rescue mission arrives. Other stuff happens, but don't ask me what as I've subconsciously erased it from my memory because it's so painful. The acting looks like Amateur Night down at the local arts centre, but with really bad dubbing thrown in on top (did I mention this was a Spanish production?).
The ending is really crap as well (it's not really and ending per se, but the credits rolled afterwards, so I guess it must have been the ending, or else the script writer committed suicide before finishing the script because he/she couldn't bear the shame of having his/her name associated with this movie).
All in all, a thorough waste of $1 and 90 minutes.
