Quite possibly, and it made me look differently at her - I never considered her a serious actress before... shame on me... and shame on Hollywood.
Glass Menagerie is one of those rare movies that leave you richer in the end. Rare indeed, as such experiences come regrettably scarcely.
Of course Joanne Woodward is wonderful there, but the defining moment in the film is the sceen between Karen and James Naughton - so delicately played by both.
Overall the film had received the three star rating - and I would tend to agree with that, but for the sheer joy of watching several marvelous performances it is a treat that should not be missed.
