This is out in limited theaters in France - a very effective B serie horror-gore by UK director Neil Marshall and certainly better than most recent releases in the genre.
A group of young women who go on a caving expedition that goes horribly wrong as they become trapped and pursued by underground humanoid/worm/mole predators...
Doing without a male hero tightens up the suspense and although the first 30 minutes seem long, it sets the pace for an increasingly claustrophobic and gory 'descent' into hell...
The very nasty creatures are played by actors, the direction is tight and without those annoying humourous asides and should satisfy most afficionados of good horror films.
