I remember the first episode, and we watched the series. It was GREAT. I'm a big fan of BSGAllot of hype before airing (which played quite well on my imagination) I couldn’t wait to see this, and I have questions to this day about the first episode after watching when it aired. A brother, or high profile figure dies in the first part during a battle...?
I thought the cylons were very realistic and effective.
Wonder if the writers were influenced in any way by "The day the Earth Stood Still" and the robot “Gort†with the moving electric light eye.
By the way, Gort must have been an interesting figure.
