Leguizamo is a tabloid journalist for a spanish-speaking news program based out of Miami. He happens to be in Ecuador investigating the missing children found brutally raped and tortured by a man referred to as "The Monster". While in a small village he witnesses and prevents a brutal "lynching" of a man who accidently hit a child running across the street. (The scene itself is riveting in its realism.) He follows up on the driver who ends up in the local prison and begins to interview him only to grow suspicious that the man is really "The Monster" himself. This film shows the grit of the third world and is illustrated by excellent cinematography, art direction, and outstanding performances by Lequizamo and the supporting cast. (Subtitled in English)
