Watched KK on big screen last nite. Walked in late, crew had just
arrived ashore on Skull Island. Wow! What a roller coaster ride!
Lots of super effects, liked all those myriad creatures. Jackson
really created a kool island with all the fauna and flora, my
congrats to him. The giant ape was great too, along with Naomi Watts,
great interactions on their part. Jack Black though, IMO, was miscast, too weak, not nearly enuff pazazz, Robert Armstrong in
original did much better. On the whole, decent film for fans of
action-fantasy-adventure. Will probably sit beside my original 1933
copy in my film collection. ~AH
