A damn fine exposÃ© of the current corporate state of the wine industry which is also a good travel documtary as it moves on location throughout Europe, America, and S. America.
The interviews with a simple native Indian grape grower and winemaker and his ultra-rich, racist Argentinian neighbors showed that rot isn't prevalent only among the grape stock roots.
One interesting scene had a prominent, and defiantly individualistic, French Languedoc winemaker pointing out that the Italian growth which Wine Spectator anointed as the best wine in the world was in fact bought up by the Mondavi corp only one year previously.
If you've ever tasted a Malbec from Argentina, a cab from Chile and Napa, a Barolo from Italy, and a Merlot from France and marvelled how they all taste so alike... this film will clear up the mystery...
