SURVEY: the single greatest scene in any movie ever?

for me there is one that stands out from a movie called the "seventh seal"

[it is the middle of the fourteenth century. Antonius Block and his squire after long years as crusaders in the Holy Land have at last returned to their native Sweden. A land ravished by the Black Plague.]

there is a scene where a young lady is crazy and speaks of the devil.
she is to be burned to death on a wooden spike.

antonius block looks in horror at the scene unfolding before him and relizes she is just
a girl. as the girl panics- antonius block looks into her eyes but knows he is can not save her.
at that moment the squire looks at antonius block and asks "where is your god now to save her - or is there only an empty sky we pray to?"

the scene is unreal
