Kyoshi Kurosawa's "Bright Future" was so

excellent I just finished two other of his films, "Seance" and "Charisma." They are pretentious, confused, and pointless. Don't let this stop you from seeing BF, however. It's kind of like a "Rebel Without a Cause," Japanese-style.
Two friends jointly work deadend jobs until one commits an extremely violent act. The perp keeps a deadly pet which is then taken care of by the friend.
No, the plot doesn't exactly sound riveting but the acting, mood, and insight into modern Asian, industrialized culture is fascinating.
