When actor Jack Palance is fired by rich hieress and successful playwright Joan Crawford he woos her and they are married and she takes his name. They move into her San Francisco mansion and she then discovers that he has a girffriend and that they are plotting to kill her. This is a skillfully done fim noir with a terrific chase at the end involving all three. Gloria Grahame plays the girlfriend.
