While thoroughly enjoying the film we were suddenly treated to the payoff a bit early when that reel started - one reel too soon - playing backwards and upsidedown.They then had to finish the film by spooling the next proper reel, showing it, taking a 10 minute break, spooling the next one, showing it, breaking, etc.
Everyone got a free ticket but that hardly makes up for not getting to experience it organically (alhtough in a strange way it fit with the movie).
I've known and worked (on music and commercial projects) with the directors for years and am very happy for them. They've been trying to make a feature for a long time and they scored with this one.
